In this episode, we spoke to Nigerian fashion designer Lisa Folawiyo, founder and creative director of her self-titled fashion brand known for the unique approach of merging West African prints and modern tailoring. Her clothes have now been worn by the likes of Issa Rae, Thandie Newton and Solange Knowles.
She shared with us her journey over the last 15 years, from the conception of her fashion house, to the pressures of being a creative, and how her upbringing in faith has helped her stay grounded through the highs and kept her motivated in the lows.
