What inspiration we’re taking from entrepreneurs, Alexandra Miller and Maya Elious, this #IWD
At Magnify, we aim to uplift, celebrate and promote women across the globe. With International Women’s Day 2022 tomorrow, we reflect on the women who have played a pivotal role in the story of Magnify, and are reminded of the power of womanhood and encouraging each other. That’s why this week we are highlighting different women from a variety of spheres in the hope that you can connect with someone and find inspiration through their story and work.
Maya Elious
A BRIEF OVERVIEW
Personal branding strategist and CEO of Built To Impact.
Maya’s Story
Maya started out making money by creating MySpace pages in college which then turned into web designing and helping clients with their branding. Her business was going well, so in 2013 she decided to take a risk and drop out of college and go full time with her freelance work. After many years of developing her skills, Maya’s company, Built to Impact, now helps women all over the globe find the clarity and strategy needed for them to change the world with their message and unique gifts.
How we’re inspired by Maya
We love how Maya is so transparent with her story in the hope that it will inspire and help those looking to do something similar. Her honesty and skills have helped so many women realise their potential and elevate their gifts. Maya consistently supports and celebrates other women, so today we wanted to do the same for her.
Alexandra Miller
A Brief Overview
Alexandra Miller is the founder of the lifestyle brand EL&N.
‘Whatever downfalls I have, they do not get to me because I know what I went through and how far I have come because of it.’
Alexandra’s Story
Alexandra’s idea for EL&N was born out of a hard time after losing her dad. With a need to find something to focus on to help her through the difficult season, she founded the Instagrammable destination, replete with stunning interiors and delectable treats. After six months since its launch in London in 2017 EL&N grew exponentially and has now expanded to include a loyal following, retail offerings, and multiple locations across the world. Her testimony of faith in the years between facing a huge loss and beginning the new venture can be read in Edition 8 of Magnify Magazine.
How we’re inspired by Alexandra
When we find our place in a period of loss, it can be hard to find hope and a future beyond where we are, so we are so comforted to see how Alexandra found healing through the creation of EL&N. It can also be hard to remember the progress we’ve made in our journeys, so today we want to celebrate and highlight how far Alexandra has come since starting her entrepreneurial journey.
