Authenticity

When we have an audience online, it's crucial that we show who we really are and don’t create a narrative of us being perfect and unattainable. It's important to try and connect on a personal level with our audiences as they want to connect with us and not just see the business side. To navigate this, it's key for us to recognise how we can best serve our community and what will have the greatest impact. It is through this authenticity with our communities that a freedom will come.

‘Schedule the priorities, don’t prioritise the schedules.’

Busyness versus Productivity

Finding consistency and discipline is always going to be tough and hard but it is a necessity if we want to grow and get better. To achieve this it is important to know what are our goals and to constantly be reviewing them and going back to them. When we know what we are working towards, being productive is easier to achieve as we are then always working  towards our goals.

Know when to Take a Break

Knowing when we are starting to feel disconnected and need a break is crucial to maintaining our mental wellbeing and enthusiasm for our passions. It's fine to feel whatever we feel but we need to make sure we are not taking on or projecting someone else's feelings on something because of the time we’ve been spending on social media. Our brains need breaks and if we are going to show up and serve, then sometimes a break is what is required.

Time Blocking

Blocking out a few hours a day that we will focus on a certain project, allows us to be more honest and flexible with ourselves whilst retaining clear boundaries. Knowing that we have a confined amount of time to do something, makes us more likely to focus and complete it. If we make small decisions ahead of time, it then saves our brain power for the big tasks and leaves us less drained as we know what is going to happen.
