Kike Ojewale
A Brief Overview
Kike Ojewale, Senior Associate at Dentons ACAS-Law
KIKE’S Story
In 2010, it was Kike’s dream to obtain a training contract with the global law firm, Dentons. Despite working hard, she didn’t get it and, after another rejection from Herbert Smith, she moved back to Nigeria. It took around six years of practice and finding her niche, for her to feel like she made the right choice. Nine years later, she was working for ACAS-Law when they decided to combine with Dentons. Kike is now a Senior Associate for Dentons ACAS-Law.
How we’re inspired by KIKE
When we have goals and ideas of where we want to be in life, we can want them to come to fruition as soon as possible. We can even find ourselves feeling lost when we don’t achieve what we hoped we would. We love how Kike’s story is a testament to the reality that everyone’s goals happen at different times and that just because we’re not where we want to be right now, when we’re patient and put in the work, it doesn’t mean we’ll never get there.

How we’re inspired by AIVORY
We all have expectations of how we think our life should be and appear, and it can be hard when our hopes for how something would go don’t match the reality of our situation. In Edition 7 of Magnify Magazine, we loved Aivory’s perspective on dealing with the loss of expectation in her career and motherhood. Today we’re inspired by Aivory’s outlook that, even if it looks different to how we thought it would, we can still find peace where we are and hope for our future.
