ANDRA’S Story
Andra was discovered by Kai Millard who saw a clip of Andra and connected her to Stevie Wonder. From there, she was introduced to a producer and later released her debut album, ‘Cheers to the Fall’. Before this Andra worked multiple jobs, including a paper route and being a kids’ party entertainer, to keep afloat. She is now a Grammy-nominated artist and an award-winning actress for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in the film ‘The United States vs. Billie Holiday’.

How we’re inspired by ANDRA
Believing in ourselves and our worth is so important for many reasons throughout life. It can encourage us to say yes to opportunities and gives us a foundation to build healthy relationships. We are all aware that the journey to feeling assured in ourselves can be challenging. This is why we want to celebrate Andra’s journey to building love for herself. We love how candid she is in sharing her challenges and the role that her faith played in helping realise her worth.

LETITIA’s story
Letitia was tipped for stardom three years ago by director Michael Caton-Jones. In 2015, she struggled with feelings of inadequacy and, after hearing friends speak to her about their faith, she wanted to find out more about God through prayer and reading the Bible. She found that building her faith helped calm feelings of insecurity, and she took time out of acting to spend more time growing her faith. After a few months, she felt it was time to go back to acting and soon after she secured her role as ‘Shuri’ in Marvel’s film ‘Black Panther’.

How we’re inspired by LETITIA
Deciding to follow our own path, not the one set out for us by society or those around us, can be scary. Others may not understand what we’re doing or our reasoning behind certain decisions. This is why we are so inspired by how fearlessly Letitia shares how she took a break from a budding career to spend time building a foundation of faith which then helped guide her next steps. Today we celebrate how this period of development helped propel her into the career she has today.
